Review Policy
Reviews exist to help customers make informed decisions and to celebrate exceptional work. We keep them trustworthy.
Who can write a review
Anyone with a Local Legends account, or anyone who completes our reviewer email confirmation, who has had a real interaction with the creator. Reviewers must use a confirmed identity, not anonymous identities.
How a review gets published
Reviews come from authenticated users and are screened for safety and policy compliance. Reviews that pass those automated checks publish automatically — we do not hand-approve every review. Reviews that need a closer look enter our moderation queue and stay unpublished until a decision is made, and clearly prohibited content is rejected.
Local Legends does not independently verify that a transaction occurred or that every statement in a review is factually accurate.
What we remove
- Reviews with no evidence of a real interaction.
- Reviews that contain harassment, hate speech, or threats.
- Reviews written or coordinated by a competitor or an undisclosed conflict of interest.
- Reviews containing private personal information about other people.
- Spam, copy-paste reviews, and obvious manipulation.
What we keep, even when negative
Critical reviews about real experiences stay. Creators cannot approve, hide, edit, or delete legitimate reviews about themselves, and they do not control whether a review is published.
Reporting a review
Anyone can use the report button on a published review to flag it for our team. Our trust & safety reviewers decide and we log every decision.
